madcap weather... zzz =.="

was waiting for the bus to come, and i'm still amazed by how blue the sky here is,
makes everything look so beautiful!!

remember how we always say the 3310 can be used to chase dogs away,
well i guess someone tried
and heres the memorial to that phone...
the State Library building.. the place we've had two of our lunches..
ppl like to sit in the sun and do anything, from reading, sleeping, to eating their lunches.. =)
and so we decided to join in the culture, under the shade though, ha ha
*thought to self: will get the enrolment thing checked tomorrow!
**brain: snoreeeeeeeeeeeeeee zzzzzzzzz

so morning rolled in, with a totally downcast look and a windy temper to boot, sigh... will have to postpone i guess, ha ha... procrastination has a reason this time!

and so i decided to stay in, guess what?? in sun-shiny just after lunch!! Yay!! ha ha, so i get ready to go out...

5 steps away the winds start blowing, and the clouds are on the horizon.. hmm, **should be okay**

walk walk.. got into campus, almost to the engineering place, **brain: oh no! the clouds are above me! better hurry up and get back home**

so i rush and start walking back...

once in the house, on the laptop... look out the window...

guess what?

ITS SUNSHINNY AGAIN!!!

of looking for rooms and churches..

Saturday!!! its another glorius day in Clayton, bright sunshine all around, but really nice and cool in the shade. such a beautiful day would be wasted and as such we took a trip down to the city to check out Josh's lodgings and everything.

Melbourne's public transport is divided into 3 zones, zone 1 being the most inner and 3 being the outer, clayton is actually located on the parameter of zone 1 in zone 2, as such, we are able to take a shuttle bus into zone 1 and save lots of cash!!, ha ha...

the city is actually a simple bus ride and train ride away... but takes about an hour to get into town.
getting to RMIT was relatively easy, but the problem was that the uni's are pretty much closed on weekends. Thank God, the notice boards in the main building were still accesible and Josh managed to locate flyers on lodgings and such.

after this was done, we made contact with Soph and we met up for dinner, ate some vietnamese dishes, rice and soup... twas really good! the beef soup that Andrew ordered w\tasted really authentic and the beef rice and crispy chicken rice was awesome... apparently this place ia near where Andrew's parents stayed, and Soph used to come here pretty often..

After this was the main event of the whole day, something myself and josh had been looking forwward to the entire time we've been here, CHURCH. haha..

well, we've visited 2 so far, which is the church that sophenie goes to, Waverly church, and the PS church which is in the city hall. Both were pretty good, thought Waverly church was briefing their members bout their churches vision theme and dream this week, so couldn't gage their message, wherelse PS church had a simple message, though very powerful in encouraging and stiring up the people.. will have to give both churches more time before i choose either.

other than that, after the meeting, we were sorta set off on our own devices since Jeremy, our contact (son of Ps. Ronald Teo) had a discipling class right after service. So he hooked us up with his friend Billy, who is sorta the connection team for the PS church (sort of PR guy). Which was great since he's been there for a while already, and actually worked for the tour guide agency before, so we managed to get a melbourne tour for dummies thingamajig, lol!

He was a great blessing, really. brought us all around city, told us important points, tips... and main roads in melbourne. It turns out he is really a very strong christian and we ended sitting at a coffee stop beside the church chatting bout everything, which then steered towards discussion bout christian things and actually lots of encouraging and interesting things, a really nice guy, he's from JB too, haha... this place is turning out to be awesome, not just physically, but it sort of allows me to grow in such different proportions and ways that i'm really excited about what can happen this year!

oh, by the way... i am considering taking up a english nick, what do you guys think bout Vincent, lol.. i know some of you will have a great laugh.. especially those who went for mission trip last year!

signing out for tonight!

!st night in Australia

Time: 11pm (Ausy time =P)

Place: the house that i'll be staying in for the rest of this year... =P

date: 2nd Feb 2006

today morning woke up with a bang.. literally!
kinda woke up a lil late so my mom was knockin on my door, ha ha
anyway, got to the airport in time, checked in, reliefed that the lugage was not over weight.

than friends arrived, and my heart jumped with joy... their arrival confirmed that my time has not been wasted these many years... we chatted, they encouraged, and adviced upon the things to look out for in a new country.

than came the tears, not so form me, but from those whom i would leave behind physically, but never in thought nor heart. tears shed, hugs given and wishes said, we were late and so we ran, from gate to transit to terminal to plane, chompin on MacD's along the way... (hungry mah!)

than the announcement came, "MH 129, PLSS BEGIN BOARDING NOW... ALLOW ELDERLY AND......'' and here we decided to wait for a while, to let the traffic ease a lil..

getting unto the plan, the excitement kicked in full force, my mind going like a broken record, "Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia Australia.." lol!

well, the plane ride was a bore, since the entertainment system was spoilt, only for my seat... zzz

so spent 6 hours sleeping and 2 hours idling away, trying to catch glimpses of my neightboor's show, lol..

getting to the airport, all went smoothly, tho we were almost sabotaged by the good deed of our own friends, giving us INDO MEE, good thing we realized it and declared, b4 getting into much trouble...

the ride to the house went very smoothly... being awed by 2 things, 1st was obviously the beuty of this place, i ean i REALLY love the way things are here, the space and all is 'lovely' (get my dad to say that fo you, teeheehee).. 2nd, the GPS system in the car REALLY wowed me, the details it is able to provide, i mean the com is able to tell u which house is number 20... try to beat that! lol

getting to the house, all is good, the friend, Alex, was already there waiting to pass us the keys to the house and everything went very well... now here i am typing and chatting with those who are online.

wanna shout out a real big THANK YOU to those who have been there for me, friends family and relatives... God blesses those who are generous and obedient!

Thank the Lord for all His blessings and favour, for His provision and protection, for His spirit and comfort to all of us...

Final Night in Malaysia.. sob??

Date? 1st February 2006.
Place? At home, In my room which I’ve only stayed for a month..
Time? 9 hours before I start my Journey to a new life and many new Challenges in Life
*and counting

Its my final night here in Malaysia, and many thoughts are coming through my mind. Many things will be left behind, but there is even more to look forward to! Tomorrow I’ll make the journey to Australia, to the airport, the flight and finally the 50minute ride to place the place I’ll be staying. But this journey is more than the physical, its about freedom, and with it the responsibilities and the principalities that will govern my life form here on. Its about God, Jesus and how this journey will change my life. This journey is of moving out of a comfort zone, and facing the challenges which will either make or break...

That said, I already have much to thank God for. In the past few days I have realized that I truly have many friends whom I can trust and depend on, sisters and brothers in Christ whom will support and intercede for each other.

Truly our Father in heaven is one who knows our needs and is able to provide in every little small way. Finances have poured in even before the need was apparent, and supplies that could not be found were suddenly available.

Well. some of you might ask, 'How do you feel, now that you're going overseas?'
Honestly, up till now i've not actually felt much except for excitement. But as the time draws closer for me to go, i'm beginning to feel really EXCITED, and also THRILLED to be facing a whole new life where parents will not be directly at hand to help. I'm actually looking forward to the challenges and the obstacles which will come my way, sort of can't wait to get my hands on them, ha ha.. weird huh? Well, those of u who will be visting this site often, you can expect to see many photoes of the events going on here, from the menial things (like where i'll be staying) to the pretty pictures that i manage to capture once in a while..
